The Town Fire Department is located on the north end of the Town’s beautiful park, housed within a large two and half-story building which also houses the Town offices and Police Department. This building was actually once the Town’s High School!

The membership is one of on call/volunteer. Training and fire prevention awareness is a top priority of the Fair Haven Fire Department.  The fire department responds to an average of 100 calls per year for fires and emergencies within the town, and to mutual aid calls as needed by neighboring towns.

The Fair Haven Fire Department meets at the Fire Station every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. The first Tuesday is set aside for Officer Meetings. The second and third Tuesdays are training nights, and the fourth Tuesday is the monthly meeting. You are welcome to stop in if you have questions or concerns regarding the Fire Department.

Reminder to all Townspeople
When the SPRING MONTHS arrive, please be safe in your winter clean-up. Remember, burn permits are needed, and Fair Haven does have a burn ordinance. Also, don’t forget to change your batteries in your smoke and CO detectors. Any detectors between 5 and 10 years old should be upgraded.

We also have a Junior/Cadet fire membership available.
